📋 Overview

Mira ("the App") is a private, local-first menstrual cycle tracking application for iOS, developed by Bee Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is stored, and your rights regarding your data.

Your privacy is the foundation of Mira. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal or health information with any third party, and we do not use it for advertising.

📦 Information You Provide

All data in Mira is entered by you. This may include:

• Cycle data — period start/end dates, flow levels, and predicted cycle information.
• Symptoms & well-being — symptoms, severity, mood, and any notes you choose to log.
• Profile preferences — settings such as your typical cycle length, used only on your device to generate predictions.

This information is stored locally on your device and is used solely to provide the App's tracking, prediction, and insights features.

❤️ Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, Mira can integrate with Apple Health:

• Write — save the periods you log to Apple Health so your data is consistent across your health apps.
• Read — import your existing menstrual flow history from Apple Health to improve your cycle predictions.

Mira only accesses menstrual flow data. Data read from or written to Apple Health stays on your device. We never transmit Apple Health data to our servers or any third party, and we never use it for advertising. You can grant or revoke this access at any time in the Apple Health app under Sharing → Apps.

🚫 What We Do NOT Do

• We do not store your health or cycle data on our servers.
• We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your data with any third party.
• We do not use your data for advertising or marketing.
• We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not require an account, name, email, or phone number to use the App.
• We do not collect your location.

💾 How Your Data Is Stored

Your cycle and health data is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, it syncs through your own private CloudKit database — encrypted and accessible only by you through your Apple ID. The developer has no access to this container.

Mira uses a backend service (Supabase) only to deliver anonymous app configuration and feature flags. This backend contains no health data and no information that can identify you.

🔒 Security

Data on your device is protected by iOS's built-in encryption. iCloud sync uses Apple's CloudKit infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Because your data stays within your device and your personal Apple account, it is never exposed on our infrastructure.

👤 Your Rights & Data Deletion

You are always in full control of your data:

• Delete in-app — remove individual logs, or delete the App to remove all locally stored data from your device.
• Delete iCloud data — disable iCloud sync for Mira in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud, or delete the App's data from iCloud storage management.
• Revoke Apple Health access — open the Apple Health app → Sharing → Apps → Mira, and turn off any permissions.

Because we do not store your data, deleting it on your device and iCloud removes it completely.

👶 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
